On Wednesday, March 20, 2019, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued charges on Kevin Butenhoff, 37 years of age, of the 2600 block of Williams Creek, High Ridge, MO, 63049, for one count of Assault in the 2nd Degree on a Special Victim, and one count of Armed Criminal Action. Butenhoff is being held on a $75,000 cash only bond. A photo of Butenhoff is attached.
The probable cause statement reads: Defendant barricaded himself in a basement and refused to engage with police or comply with police orders. After police gained entry, Defendant continued to refuse to engage with police and was shouting for the officers to kill him. Defendant had a metal pipe in his hand and refused to drop the weapon. Defendant charged police officers with the raised metal pipe.
Detectives from the St. Louis County Police Department Bureau of Crimes Against Persons presented the case to the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s office where the above charges were issued.
