On Friday, January 24, 2020, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued charges on suspect Quentin Jackson, 37 years of age, of the 100 block of South Central (homeless), St. Louis, Missouri 63105, for one count of Murder in the Second Degree, one count of Armed Criminal Action, and one count of Stealing a Motor Vehicle. Jackson is being held on $250,000 “cash only” bond. A mugshot of Jackson is attached. Please note, charges are merely an accusation and the Defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
The probable cause statement reads: On or about January 13, 2020, the victim was found deceased in the 7900 block of Hildesheim Avenue. He had a stab wound to the neck. The defendant admitted to living at the home of the victim, getting into an altercation with the victim over money, and admitted to stabbing him in the neck. The defendant also admitted to stealing the victim’s car after the incident. DNA on the knife was a match to that of the defendant. Blood was found on the defendant’s clothing and in the stolen car.
Detectives from the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons are conducting the investigation.
