Lieutenant Colonel Tim Cunningham was raised in Rolla, MO before attending the University of Missouri-Columbia and graduating from Central Missouri State University (UCM). He comes from a law enforcement family, where between his three brothers and father they have over 150 years of law enforcement experience.
Lt. Colonel Cunningham began his career with the St. Louis County Police Department in 1994. He has served in the Affton-Southwest, South County, West County and North County Precincts within the Division of Patrol and the Bureau of Drug Enforcement within the Division of Criminal Identification. He is one of the founders of the departments Police Athletic League (PAL) and is currently a board member with PAL. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Session 269.
Lt. Colonel Cunningham is currently the Commanding Officer of the Division of Criminal Investigation, where he is responsible for the day to day operations for the Bureaus of Drug Enforcement, Crimes Against Persons, Crimes Against Property and Criminal Identification.
